Motivate!

"Be the change you want to see in the world" - Mahatma Gandhi

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"Everybody can be great because everybody can serve."

1963 Children's Crusade

On May 2, 1963, in Birmingham, Alabama, 1,000 young activists bravely participated in nonviolent protests against racial inequality and segregation. Their resilience and courage, despite facing significant challenges, were pivotal in advancing the cause of equality, justice, and freedom. Their efforts played a crucial role in persuading President John F. Kennedy to support the passage of the Civil Rights Act. This movement not only contributed to the social progress we experience today but also demonstrated the power of young people to drive positive change and make a meaningful impact in their communities and beyond. The Children's Crusade highlighted the profound impact that youth can have on societal change and illustrated the power of collective action in confronting injustice. It is a powerful example of how young people, empowered and organized, can drive significant social and political transformations.

Issues To Get Involved In

Inadequate Housing & Food Insecurity

Globally, 1.6 billion people worldwide live in inadequate housing conditions (un.org). Around 733 million people faced hunger in 2023, equivalent to one in eleven people globally and one in five in Africa (who.int).

Healthcare & Climate Change

In a 2021 study, 4.5 billion people were not fully covered by essential health services (who.int). Global temperatures could rise by approximately 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels by as early as 2030, which will severely and adversely impact ecosystems and human life (ipcc.ch).

Mental Health & Education

Despite dramatic improvements over the past decades, 250 million children, adolescents, and youth are still out of education (globalpartnership.org). In 2022, 1 in 8 people in the world were dealing with mental health issues (who.org)

Anything Under the Sun!

Community service can be as fun and diverse as you make it—whether it’s addressing important global issues or simply sharing your passion for art, sports, music, or any other activity you love.
